Extract your Akeeba Joomla! backup

It took me a long time to figure out how to restore my Joomla! website from an Akeeba Backup file (.jre), but all you need to do is upload this file (kickstart.php) beside your .jre backup on your webserver, run the script (ie. and follow the instructions to completely restore your website (databases, assets, templates, everything!).
